We spent 3 days on Cozumel which is an island just off Playa del Carmen and is famous for being one of the best places to dive and snorkel in the world. It is also where many cruise ships discharge their passengers for a day trip which made it a strange place - packed during the day and deserted at night. We went on a snorkelling trip on a small boat with about 8 other people which was fantastic - saw loads of fish (and divers on the bottom!)
The water was really warm and it was much nicer being in the water than on the boat as the wind made it pretty cold!
